Agreement on Social Security (2003)
Signed by Chile and Australia on March 25, 2003 , this agreement outlines
the management and distribution of provisional pensions and benefits. The
idea of the document is that Chilean and Australian citizens working in one
country or the other will have the opportunity to claim and receive benefits
to which they would be entitled to at home, but in the new state of residence.
The rights also extend to any third country in which the interested party
might reside. The Agreement was approved by the Chilean parliament in January
2004. In turn, Australia confirmed on April 7, 2004 , that the Treaty for
Social Security would enter in effect on July 1, 2004.

This protocol replace the former Treaty between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and Chile for the Mutual Surrender of Fugitive Criminals (and on behalf of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa), signed in Santiago on January 26th, 1897.
The Treaty entered into force 22 August 1898. Amended in 1928 through an Exchange of Notes extending to Certain Mandated Territories of the Treaty.
Acuerdo para evitar la doble tributación (en negociación)

Este instrumento internacional se firmó el 8 de junio de 1996 y se encuentra en negociación. La primera ronda de negociaciones se realizó en Santiago en septiembre de 2005.
Agreement on Australia- Chile Bilateral Trade and Investment Commission (1998)
The Australia-Chile Bilateral Trade and Investment Commission was established in May 1998. Its aim is to generate greater awareness of mutual opportunities by the respective business communities and to implement practical measures to improve the environment for business. Initial meetings of the Commission established a forward-looking action agenda, including closer cooperation in science and technology, education, rural development and joint projects between national quarantine agencies.
